The Design Story
Peter Ellis and Gabriel Tam designed the Tall Poppy in 2017; in Australia, a “tall poppy” is someone who stands out. That year it won the IIDA/HD Product Design Competition, received an Honorable Mention at the LIT Lighting Design Awards and a GOOD DESIGN Award from The Chicago Athenaeum. Its bright LED disc spreads light evenly, widely and without glare.
Why You’ll Love It
It is tall enough to light a whole table and slim enough not to block anyone’s view. The fluted stem catches light along its length, and the iridescent Reef finish shifts color as you move. Solid diecast metal makes it feel substantial.
The Cordless Advantage
Going cordless changes how you light a room: you place the glow where you want it, then move it when the evening moves outside. The Tall Poppy runs up to 10 hours on high and up to 100 hours on low, and recharges in about 5.5 hours on its base. Inside is a Panasonic lithium-ion battery built for hundreds of cycles and designed to be swapped, not thrown away, which is why NEOZ lamps from decades ago are still in service.

Set it on a NEOZ charging base, tray or station. Select “Charging Base: Included” if you don’t have one yet. A full charge takes about 5.5 hours.
