The Design Story

Peter Ellis and designer Jackie Chan developed the Ritz with Tessa Kennedy Associates, the interior designers behind the Rivoli Bar at The Ritz London. Alan Barclay Cook, who opened the Rivoli Bar in 2001, has written that he went on to choose NEOZ again for later projects, from the Hyatt Regency London The Churchill to The Old Bank in Dungarvan, Ireland.

The Cordless Advantage

Going cordless changes how you light a room: you place the glow where you want it, then move it when the evening moves outside. The Ritz runs up to 17.5 hours on high and up to 55 hours on low with the N1 battery, or up to 66 hours on high and up to 310 hours on low with the Pro, and recharges in about 3.5 hours on its base. Inside is a Panasonic lithium-ion battery built for hundreds of cycles and designed to be swapped, not thrown away, which is why NEOZ lamps from decades ago are still in service.

Why choose a cordless Ritz over a candle or a plug-in lamp?

No flame, smoke or wax, and no cable to hide: the Ritz gives the same warm glow night after night, wherever you set it, then recharges on its base.

How do I charge the Ritz?

Set it on a NEOZ charging base, tray or station. Select “Charging Base: Included” if you don’t have one yet. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours (about 8.5 hours for the Pro battery).

Where can I use the Ritz?

Indoors; bring it in from terraces and keep it away from water. Its rating is IP30.

What warranty comes with the Ritz?

Five years on materials and workmanship from NEOZ, and one year on the battery. Parts are replaceable, and NEOZ services its lamps for the long term.

How heavy is the Ritz?

About 4 lb (1,820 g), or about 4.6 lb (2,090 g) with the Pro battery, thanks to its solid forged brass base.

When will my Ritz arrive?
