The Design Story
Designed in Sydney in 1998 by Peter Ellis, Tammy Chiew and Gabriel Tam, the Egg was one of the first shapes in NEOZ’s cordless collection and is still one of its best loved. The glass is hand-blown, so every lamp is subtly individual.
Why You’ll Love It
It is the cordless lamp in its purest form: one soft, glowing shape and nothing else. The frosted glass hides the light source completely, so the whole egg glows. It flatters faces, food and flowers alike.
The Cordless Advantage
Going cordless changes how you light a room: you place the glow where you want it, then move it when the evening moves outside. The Egg runs up to 17.5 hours on high and up to 55 hours on low, and recharges in about 3.5 hours on its base. Inside is a Panasonic lithium-ion battery built for hundreds of cycles and designed to be swapped, not thrown away, which is why NEOZ lamps from decades ago are still in service.

How do I charge the Egg?
Set it on a NEOZ charging base, tray or station. Select “Charging Base: Included” if you don’t have one yet. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours.
