The Design Story
Peter Ellis and Tammy Chiew designed the Cooee family in 2013; the name is the Australian bush call that carries across distance. Each body is metal-spun to a wall just 0.6 mm thick over a polycarbonate core, light in the hand yet tough enough for nightly service.
Why You’ll Love It
It is the quiet professional of the range: slim, precise and almost invisible until the light lands on the table. Five finishes run from sandblasted black to lacquered copper, so it can disappear into a dark room or shine as a detail.
The Cordless Advantage
Going cordless changes how you light a room: you place the glow where you want it, then move it when the evening moves outside. The Cooee 1c runs up to 17 hours on high and up to 55 hours on low, and recharges in about 3.5 hours on its base. Inside is a Panasonic lithium-ion battery built for hundreds of cycles and designed to be swapped, not thrown away, which is why NEOZ lamps from decades ago are still in service.
