The Design Story
Thöming designed BASIC as a set of building blocks: the trays set the footprint, and the bowls, creamer and sugar bowl fit on top. Thöming, an industrial designer at Germany’s Flöz Design, kept BASIC deliberately plain so the pieces mix with any tableware you already own.
Brushed steel, straight lines and nothing extra: BASIC is the quiet backbone of a well-set breakfast table.
