AVIO Oak Coffee Table by Kazushige Miyake for blomus — A solid-oak coffee table built from two rounded halves, in a small or large size and natural or black-stained oak.
Part of AVIO, the split-top solid-oak furniture by Kazushige Miyake for the German design house blomus.
The Design Story
Miyake made AVIO’s symmetry visible in the top, where two halves of oak meet like a quiet handshake. Miyake named AVIO after the Finnish word for marriage: every piece is built from two solid-oak halves that meet in the middle and become one.
Two halves, one form: AVIO is solid oak with the calm of Japanese design and the warmth of Scandinavian wood.
Why You’ll Love It
A low, warm table that feels both Scandinavian and Japanese.
Made for Real Life
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry; use coasters under glasses and keep away from direct heat. Indoor use only. The wood comes from FSC-certified forests, and the oak grain varies from piece to piece. Pairs well with the AVIO oak side table, AVIO oak stool and UZU Zen garden rug.

Why We Love It
AVIO looks soft and sculptural but is built from solid oak to last for generations. From a small town in Germany’s old steel region, the Blome family has gone from bicycle parts (1921) to metal gifts (1961) to the design label blomus (2000), still family-run in its fourth generation. LoftModern is an authorized blomus retailer.
