The Design Story
Vittoriano Viganò, architect of Milan's Istituto Marchiondi, designed the VV Cinquanta in 1951 for Arteluce. Its spun aluminum reflector sits on a ball joint, so the light swivels and tilts from a focused working beam to an upward wash. Astep re-edits it today with the original proportions.
