The Design Story

Miller gave ABENTO a second material, marble, for spaces where a tray should feel like jewelry. Miller, an architect and designer based in Los Angeles, took the bento box, the compartment lunch box of Japan, Taiwan and Korea, and turned it into a deep-sided tray that organizes and displays. Its wooden ABENTO siblings took German Design Award Gold in 2022.

Inspired by the bento box, ABENTO gives small things a frame: a tray that turns clutter into a composition.
