MIYABI Low Ikebana Bowl by Kazushige Miyake for blomus — A low, 9-inch ikebana vase with a removable stainless-steel flower grid, in glass, stoneware or stainless steel.
Part of MIYABI, the ikebana-inspired vases by Kazushige Miyake for the German design house blomus.
The Design Story

Miyake built the flower frog into MIYABI so anyone can try ikebana at home without special tools. Miyake, who founded his own studio in Japan in 2005 and has won iF, Red Dot and Good Design awards, designs by subtraction: the form and the mood it creates, nothing more.
MIYABI means elegance, grace or refinement in Japanese, and the vase earns the name: a floating dish of water on a slender stem.
Why You’ll Love It
Flowers stand exactly where you place them, and the arrangement looks deliberate from every side.
Made for Real Life
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth; change the water often and rinse the vase between arrangements. In ikebana the water surface is part of the arrangement, which is why MIYABI opens so wide at the top. Pairs well with the MIYABI tall ikebana vase, CEOLA vase and LITO wire bowl.

Why We Love It
A few stems and a still surface of water become a composition worth looking at. From a small town in Germany’s old steel region, the Blome family has gone from bicycle parts (1921) to metal gifts (1961) to the design label blomus (2000), still family-run in its fourth generation. LoftModern is an authorized blomus retailer.
