The Design Story
Simple in concept, Demetra has an adjustable, turnable and tiltable head with integrated dimmer switch atop an extending arm allowing for direct LED light diffusion. Made of aluminum painted white, grey anthracite or titanium. In addition to table, floor and wall versions, a spotlight is available. Also available with motion sensor option for energy conservation.
Meet the Designer
Naoto Fukasawa (born 1956 in Japan) is an industrial designer known for quiet, intuitive objects. After working at IDEO in the US, he founded his own Tokyo studio, and he has long been a design advisor to MUJI.

Base, clamp or pivot: which way should I mount the Demetra?
A base lets you move the lamp anywhere; a clamp frees up the whole desktop; an inset pivot is the most permanent and cleanest look, set into a hole in the desk. Pick the one that matches how you work (our advice).
When will my Demetra ship?
Standard delivery options ship in 2–4 weeks; Special order from Italy options ship in 10–16 weeks from Artemide's warehouse (see the part number table at the bottom). We email your confirmed ship date after you order. A gentle note on special orders: they are made in Italy just for you, so they can't be changed or cancelled once ordered. Message us anytime to confirm your choices first.
What kind of light does the Demetra give?
2700K is warm and cozy; 3000K is a soft warm white; output is 392 lumens per Artemide.
How do I dim or switch the Demetra?
Dimmable (on head) or dimmable (on head) / motion sensor, according to Artemide. The motion-sensor version switches itself off when nobody is around.
How much space does the Demetra need?
