The Osvald design is softly rounded and minimalistic. The primary goal of the Osvald design has been to combine high comfort, simple sofa to bed conversion and storage. Storage is a main part of the challenge of living in limited square feet, and Osvald is conveniently equipped with a large bedding box, designed to help solve exactly this challenge. Osvald features legs that automatically fold out when converted into a bed, ensuring a durable, convenient and fast transformation from sofa to occasional bed for every day use. The Osvald sofa converts smoothly into a queen-size bed with a long lasting innerspring comfort. If you only require a resting space for a single, simply remove the cushions and a single bed is ready in seconds.
The Design Story
Designed by Emil Højfeldt and Per Weiss in 2015, Osvald is round-edged and minimal, with storage and sleeping built in rather than bolted on. The Osvald opens to a queen bed with long-lasting pocket spring comfort.

How does the Osvald open into a bed?
No fiddling with legs: they tuck themselves away as you pull the bed out; roomy hidden storage built right in. The finished sleeping surface is 59" x 79".
What does the Osvald feel like to sit and sleep on?
It uses Innovation Living's Pocket Spring Dual system with a soft feel. The back cushions are filled with feather and fiberfill mix.
Which fabric is right for the Osvald?
Avella Warm Grey, Esina Rust Orange, Melange Grey and Kenya Gravel are the quickest to ship. All 35 fabrics show their Martindale rub count: a higher number means more abrasion resistance, so families with kids or pets may want one rated 50,000 or above. Swatch colors on screen can differ slightly from the real fabric.
Is the Osvald made with healthier materials?
Yes. Its foam is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances, and many of the fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified as well.
Who designed the Osvald?
Emil Højfeldt & Per Weiss 2015. Per Weiss has led design at Innovation Living since 1989; the company was founded in Denmark in 1971 by Flemming Højfeldt.
