For Carmine Deganello, a lamp begins with a material and an experiment. Based in Amsterdam and Milan, he has worked with Pablo for years, and his designs have been exhibited at Milan’s Triennale Design Museum and Vienna’s MAK.
The Design Story
T.O was designed for Pablo Designs by Carmine Deganello, a Milan-based experimental product and architectural designer whose work is driven by research into materials. Pablo describes it as a harmonious dialogue between solidity and lightness: a marble cylinder carrying a magnetically attached light arm that rotates 360 degrees, giving direct light for tasks or indirect light for ambience.

Where It Shines
On a desk, nightstand or console. Who it is not for: anyone who wants a 2700K or dim-to-warm glow, since this lamp is 3000K and the color does not change as it dims. At 300 lumens it is an accent and task light, not a room light.

Black or white marble?
Marquina Black is dramatic; Carrara White is fresh and light. Each pairs with a Brass or Chrome arm.
Is it a good reading light?
Pablo designed the rotating arm for both direct task light and indirect ambient light, so you can aim it where you need it.
Does it cast multiple shadows?
Pablo says the advanced LED array eliminates multiple shadows.
What color temperature is it?
3000K, as listed on Pablo’s spec sheet. It is a single fixed color temperature, not selectable.
