Pablo Studio is a small group of makers and inventors with diverse backgrounds in industrial design and craft, and a deep understanding of manufacturing, materials and technology. The team approaches each project by isolating a concept, refining it and reducing it to its central principle. Experimentation and meticulous attention to detail shape the studio’s work.
The Design Story
Bola, Spanish for “ball,” is one of Pablo Designs’ signature collections, developed by Pablo Studio in San Francisco. Pablo Designs has made lighting in San Francisco since 1993. Every Bola pairs a softly glowing opal glass globe with a post, mirrored disc, ring or shade so the light appears to float.

Per Pablo’s spec sheet, 4 to 16 inch globes are blown opal glass; the 24 inch is a polymer globe.
