Pablo Studio is a tight-knit San Francisco team that picks one idea, refines it and strips it down to its essence. Their goal: objects that feel personal and a little surprising every time you use them.
The Design Story
Nivél comes from the Pablo Studio in San Francisco, where Pablo Pardo, a Venezuelan-born industrial designer, founded Pablo Designs in 1993. Pablo describes it as sitting at the intersection of functional lighting and furniture: a light module fastened around a solid wood post, so you set the height of the glow where you want it. The cordless Nivél Table and Floor won a 2023 Interior Design HiP Award.

Beside a sofa or reading chair, or in a bedroom corner. Who it is not for: anyone who needs a wet-location or exposed outdoor lamp (the standard rating is IP20) or a bright task light (it is 425 lumens).

It is soft ambient light at 425 lumens, best as an accent or reading light.
How do I dim it?
A capacitive touch switch gives 3-stage dimming (100/40/10%) and full-range dimming (100–10%).
Does it need an outlet?
Only to recharge, using the included 10 W charging block and 9 ft cord.
How long does the battery last?
Pablo lists 8 to 160 hours per charge, depending on brightness.
Can it go outside?
It is rated IP20 as sold, so keep it dry and under cover.
