For Carmine Deganello, a lamp begins with a material and an experiment. Based in Amsterdam and Milan, he has worked with Pablo for years, and his designs have been exhibited at Milan’s Triennale Design Museum and Vienna’s MAK.

The Design Story
T.O was designed for Pablo Designs by Carmine Deganello, a Milan-based experimental product and architectural designer whose work is driven by research into materials. Pablo describes the pendant as an elegant wand of light suspended by woven nylon belts with over-molded features that allow full 360-degree rotation, with a suspension system that supports linear, multi-axis and multi-level groupings. The 2-Stack places two wands one above the other.

Two stacked wands give a long table a layered line of light, and the belts bring color and craft to a technical fixture. Pablo notes the advanced LED array eliminates multiple shadows.
Made for Real Life
A tactile push switch dims the light: full range (100–10%) or 2-stage (100/40%). The 10 ft (3 m) cable and 10 ft (3 m) belts leave room to set the hanging height. The fixture is rated 120–277V 50/60Hz and is hardwired. Pablo’s sheet gives specifications for a single T.O wand; totals here are calculated for two.

Where It Shines
Over a long dining or conference table, or a kitchen island. Who it is not for: anyone who needs a plug-in lamp (it is hardwired) or a dim-to-warm glow, since the color temperature is a fixed 2700K.

Here the wands come in Chrome or Matte Black, and the belts in Burnt Orange, Graphite or Light Grey.
Is it good over a desk or table?
Yes. Pablo designed the rotating wands for direct task light as well as indirect ambience.
Does it cast multiple shadows?
Pablo says the advanced LED array eliminates multiple shadows.
What color temperature is it?
2700K, as listed on Pablo’s spec sheet. It is a single fixed color temperature.
How bright is the 2-Stack?
Pablo lists 750 lumens for one T.O wand. With two wands that is about 1,500 lumens in total.
How do I dim it?
Use the push button for full-range (100–10%) or 2-stage (100/40%) dimming.
