Meet the Designer
Designed by
Pablo Studio
Pablo Studio is a tight-knit San Francisco team that picks one idea, refines it and strips it down to its essence. Their goal: objects that feel personal and a little surprising every time you use them.
The Design Story
Pablo Studio designed Circa in 2013 as a new kind of indoor light, between a work lamp and a shaded lamp. A flat-panel LED spreads warm, even light across the whole disc, which moves freely above its axis point.
Why You’ll Love It
Most pendants just hang; Circa can be aimed. The shade tilts 45° in two directions and rotates 360°, so you can send light toward a work surface or keep it level over a dining table.
Made for Real Life
Hardwired and shipped flat-packed, with a 10 ft (305 cm) field-cuttable cord so you set your own hanging height. Have it installed by a licensed electrician.

Questions We Hear Most
What makes Circa Pendant unusual?
The disc tilts 45° in two directions and rotates 360°, so you can direct a pendant’s light.
Which size should I choose?
12 inches for desks and smaller tables; 16 inches for dining tables and islands.
Is Circa Pendant glare-free?
The flat-panel LED lights the whole disc evenly, so there is no bare bulb to see.
Can I set my own hanging height?
Yes, the 10 ft (305 cm) cord is field-cuttable.
Does the light color change when dimmed?
No. Pablo lists a fixed 2700K, and it dims on TRIAC or ELV dimmers.
Who is it not for?
Anyone who needs a plug-in lamp or a damp or wet location. Pablo lists no damp or wet rating, and it must be hardwired.
