Meet the Designer
Designed by
Pablo Studio
Pablo Studio is a tight-knit San Francisco team that picks one idea, refines it and strips it down to its essence. Their goal: objects that feel personal and a little surprising every time you use them.
The Design Story
Bola, Spanish for “ball,” is one of Pablo Designs’ signature collections, developed by Pablo Studio, the San Francisco team founded by Pablo Pardo in 1993. Every Bola pairs a softly glowing opal glass globe with a post, mirrored disc, ring or shade so the light appears to float.
Why You’ll Love It
Overlapping Moss, Clay and Sand discs on a wall look like a modern painting that glows.
Made for Real Life
Hardwired to a junction box, or choose the Pin-up Kit to plug in. Dimmable, with an LED rated for 50,000 hours and covered for five years. Pablo lists no wet or damp rating, so keep it indoors.

Questions We Hear Most
Which colors look best together?
Moss, Clay and Sand make a warm, natural trio.
What does the Pin-up Kit do?
It lets you plug the fixture into an outlet: a 9 ft fabric-sleeved cable with an inline full-range dimmer, in Black or White.
Does it suit a bedroom?
Yes, the matte disc gives a soft, calm glow that warms as it dims from 2700K to 1800K.
Is it reflective?
No, it is matte.
Is it dimmable?
Yes. Hardwired, it dims on TRIAC/ELV or 0–10V; with the Pin-up Kit, use the inline dimmer.
Who is it not for?
Anyone who needs a wet-location fixture, or who wants to hardwire without a junction box and skip the plug-in kit.
