Pablo Pardo
Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection.
The Design Story
Pablo Pardo founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, and the Pablo Studio, the company’s small team of makers and inventors, designed LIM to be as fun to use as it is functional. The idea is a single L-shaped aluminum arm so slim it almost disappears, with a row of LEDs hidden along its underside and a magnetic attachment that lets you slide and swivel it effortlessly.
