Pablo Pardo
Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection.
The Design Story
Pablo Pardo founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, and Piccola remains one of the company’s most beloved designs. It earned a place in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Its genius is simple: a soft, pliable base wrapped in supple Italian glove leather that you can bend to any angle, and a hand-spun aluminum shade that floats freely and always finds level.
