The Sisters Floor Lamp by Ieva Kalēja for Mammalampa — a painted canvas drum, standing tall on a slim steel stem.
Nine painterly colorways, 71.7 inches tall, on a white or black base.
The Design Story
The Sisters are painted the way a painter prepares a canvas: color is laid on by hand in layers, with visible brushstrokes and soft transitions, so each shade reads like a small abstract landscape. Ieva Kalēja designed the drum shape to be a pure, quiet form that lets the painting lead. Because every shade is painted by hand in Latvia, no two Sisters are identical.
Ieva Kalēja, the Riga designer behind Mammalampa, was named by Elle Decor in 2020 among the ten most talented women designers in the world, as reported by FOLD magazine, and in 2026 she leads the product-design jury of Latvia’s National Design Award.
Why You’ll Love It
Switch it on and the brushstrokes glow; switch it off and it is still an artwork. A white base keeps it light and gallery-like; a black base gives a graphic outline.
Made for Real Life
Plug it in, switch it from the cord, use one E26 LED bulb up to 50W. At 17.6 lb it is stable, and a soft brush keeps the canvas dust-free. Pairs beautifully with the The Sisters pendant, The Sisters statement pendant and The Bride floor lamp.

Why We Love It
Color, light and craft in one tall gesture. Mammalampa is a family studio in Riga, Latvia, built around one idea: start with a real material, do as little to it as possible, and let light reveal it. Every lamp is made by hand, which is why no two are ever quite the same.
