Nothing to relamp: the light source is built in. The brass is a living finish that deepens with age. A soft, dry cloth keeps the metalwork clean. The cables can be cut on site to the exact drop you want. Pair it with an LED-compatible ELV or TRIAC dimmer to go from bright to candle-soft.

A linear piece looks right when it is shorter than the table it lights. For the Dessau 48:

Which Dessau 48 finish works with my palette?
Our take: black gives a crisp, graphic outline; brass brings warmth to wood and earthy tones.
Can the Dessau 48 be the only light in the room?
In a smaller room, yes: it gives 2,261 lumens at 90 CRI. In a larger space, layer it with lamps or recessed lights.
How long should my table be for the Dessau 48?
Choose a table of about 60″ or longer so the 48.2″ fixture sits comfortably inside the ends.
Will the Dessau 48 work outside under a roof?
Yes. Visual Comfort rates it for damp interiors and outdoor spaces under cover, so a loggia or covered patio is fine; keep it out of direct rain.
Will I ever change a bulb in the Dessau 48?
There are no bulbs. The light comes from built-in LED modules with a 50,000-hour L70 rating, fitted at the factory.
How is the Dessau 48 hung?
It is cable suspended; in the box: 12 ft of field-cuttable satin cable. Sloped ceilings up to 45°. A licensed electrician should install it.
How soon can the Dessau 48 arrive?
