ET2 Tartan LED Etched Acrylic Pendant Light

Tartan is a clear acrylic body that curls like a wave of fabric, with a grid pattern etched deep into it and bands of Brushed Champagne metal at the top. The grid is inspired by patterned fabrics of the Scottish Highlands.

The Design Story

ET2 hand-forms the transparent acrylic into a curling structure so that it gives the impression of billowing in the breeze. The waving grid is etched deep into the surface, which is what gives Tartan its woven look. A color temperature selector at the canopy lets you choose Warm, Neutral or Cool White LED light, which is 3000K, 3500K or 4000K.

Tartan is 16 in long, 10 in wide and 10.5 in tall, with 600 lumens from 12W of integrated LED at 90 CRI. The selectable color temperature helps when you are matching a room that has other lights, or when you are not sure which white you want. Dimming works with Triac, ELV or 0-10V controls. The deep etching catches the light, so the fixture has texture lit and unlit.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

How do I change the color temperature on Tartan?

The selector is at the canopy. It lets you choose Warm, Neutral or Cool White: 3000K, 3500K or 4000K. Set it during installation.

How long is the cord on the Tartan, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 118 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 130 in. The shortest hang is 13 in, so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Tartan give?

Delivered output is 600 lumens, with a color temperature that is selectable: 3000K, 3500K and 4000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac, ELV or 0-10V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Tartan be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.

Where can I install the Tartan?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. Ceiling slope is not listed, so plan for a flat ceiling. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
