ET2 Moeraki Boulder Pendant Light

Moeraki is a boulder-like pendant made of polyurethane: a smooth, rounded shell whose edge folds into a curved opening, in an off-white Oyster finish with a shimmery, salt-like texture.

It comes in 3 versions: 16 in, 20 in and 24 in. The finish is Oyster.

The Design Story

ET2 took the rocky shores of New Zealand's South Island as its inspiration. The organic forms look like weathered stone, but the polyurethane keeps them light, from 4.5 lb in the 16 in size to 13 lb in the 24 in size. The bulb sits inside the shell, and warm light shows through the opening.

Three sizes let one shape work at different scales: the 16 in as a single accent, the 20 in over a table, and the 24 in as a statement piece. Oyster is a soft off-white that sits easily with wood, plaster and stone. The pendant takes an included E26 bulb at 3000K warm white, and it dims on Triac or ELV dimmers.

This fixture uses standard replaceable bulbs. 1 x E26 Medium (G25) socket, bulb included. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

Which Moeraki sizes are offered?

Moeraki comes in 16, 20 and 24 inch versions, all in Oyster. The 16 in is 15.75 in long and 9 in tall, the 20 in is 19.75 in long and 11.5 in tall, and the 24 in is 23.75 in long and 14 in tall.

How long is the cord on the Moeraki, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 120 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 132 in (16 in), 134.75 in (20 in), 137 in (24 in). The shortest hang is 12 in (16 in), 14.75 in (20 in), 17 in (24 in), so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Moeraki give?

Delivered output is 400 lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac or ELV. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

What bulb does the Moeraki take?

1 x E26 Medium (G25) socket, bulb included. Bulb choice affects brightness and warmth, so we suggest staying at or below the listed wattage.

Where can I install the Moeraki?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. Ceiling slope is not listed, so plan for a flat ceiling. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
