Gyro II is a set of concentric bands that sit one inside another, like the rings of a gyroscope. The bands rotate on three axis points, so you can tilt them to form your own shape.

It comes in 2 versions: 31.5 in and 3-Light. Finishes: Black / Polished Chrome and Black.

The Design Story

ET2 describes Gyro II as concentric bands in Polished Chrome or Black that rotate on three axis points and adjust in multiple directions. The edge of each slender band holds a small LED strip covered by a frosted lens, so the light runs along the rings themselves. There are two versions: a 31.5 inch fixture in Black and a 3-Light version in Black with Polished Chrome.

This is a fixture you set up, then change when you feel like it. The adjustable bands let you open the form wide or tilt it into a tighter sphere. The 31.5 inch version is the larger statement, with 5500 lumens, and suits a tall entry or a stairwell. Can I adjust the shape of Gyro II?

Yes. ET2 describes the concentric bands as rotating on three axis points and adjusting in multiple directions, so you can set the angle of each band when you hang it.

How long is the cord on the Gyro II, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 120 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 76 in (31.5 in), 50 in (3-Light). The shortest hang is 36.75 in (31.5 in), 14.5 in (3-Light), so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Gyro II give?

Delivered output is 5500 (31.5 in), 3500 (3-Light) lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 80+.

Will my dimmer work with it?

Can the LED in the Gyro II be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source.

Where can I install the Gyro II?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. The canopy suits sloped ceilings up to 120 degrees (31.5 in), 30 degrees (3-Light). ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
