ET2 Echo LED Drum Pendant Light

Echo is a shallow metal cylinder that hangs on a single black cord and glows from within. The edge is sharp, the surface is quiet, and the light comes through a frosted diffuser rather than from a visible bulb.

Three diameters (13, 16 and 24 in) share one shape, so you can scale it to the room without changing the look. The finish is Matte White outside, with the inside left white, gold or black.

The Design Story

ET2 Contemporary Lighting works out of California. Echo is hard-edged, well-finished design in its simplest form: a flat-topped ring of metal, a floating diffuser and nothing else to look at.

Why You’ll Love It

A metal shade holds a crisp outline that fabric cannot, so the cylinder reads as a clean graphic shape against a wall or a stairwell. Looking up at it, you see an even disc of warm white (3000K, CRI 90+) instead of a glare point. The gold interior gives that disc a soft amber edge, the black interior gives it a deeper frame, and plain white keeps everything light and neutral. Hang one 24 in drum for a statement, or line up two or three of the smaller sizes.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to source and nothing to swap. It dims on Triac, ELV and 0-10V controls. ET2 does not publish care instructions, so we suggest a dry microfiber cloth and no spray cleaners.

Questions We Hear Most

Which Echo size suits which space?

The 13 and 16 in drums are 10 in tall and work over a small table or in a group. The 24 in drum is only 5 in tall, so it suits a wide island or a low ceiling. Maximum overall height is 121, 122 and 37 in for the three sizes.

Is Echo bright enough to light a room on its own?

It delivers 1200, 1500 and 2400 lumens by size (ET2 also lists rated output of 1600, 2100 and 3200). The light is 3000K warm white with CRI 90+, which is a good fit as ambient light over a table or island.

Will my wall dimmer work with it?

Echo is listed for Triac, ELV and 0-10V dimming. ET2 does not publish a dimmer compatibility list, so send us your dimmer model or ask your electrician before you buy.

What is the difference between the three finishes?

The outside is Matte White on all of them. Inside, you can have plain white, gold or, in the 16 in size, black. ET2 says the gold and black interiors cut glare and give a more finished look. The 24 in size is offered in White with Gold interior.

Can I change the LED later?

No. The LED is integrated and the board is not replaceable, so choose it as a long-term fixture. The upside is that there is no bulb to buy or match.

Can Echo go in a bathroom or outdoors?

No, ET2 rates it for dry locations only. Indoors in a dry room is the right home for it, and ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
