The Design Story

The light source wraps around the edge of its panels, so the fixture casts light both up and down along its shape. Pulling the panels at opposite ends away from each other expands the lighting surface. The body is aluminum, steel and PVC.

How does the adjustable width work?

ET2 describes Belt as an articulating pendant: you pull the panels at opposite ends away from each other to expand the lighting surface, and push them back to shorten it. Please measure your table or island first, and send us the span you need if you want help confirming it.

How low does the Belt hang, and can I set the height?

The fixture body is 2.75 in tall. ET2 lists a maximum overall height of 48.25 in counting the fixture, canopy and the cord or wire, with 120 in of cord or wire supplied. The shortest hang is 12 in. The overall height is set at install, so measure from the ceiling to where you want the fixture to sit.

How much light does the Belt give?

Delivered output is 2800 lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac or ELV at 120V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Belt be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.

Where can I install the Belt?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. The canopy suits sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
