Brink is a rectangular outdoor wall light with an integrated LED set into a recessed horizontal channel. It comes as a small step light and as a larger sconce, in Architectural Bronze, Black or White.

It comes in 2 versions: Step light 5 x 3.25 in and Sconce 6 x 8 in (width x height). Finishes: Architectural Bronze, Black and White.

The Design Story

ET2 describes Brink as a clean rectangular form with a softly illuminated recessed channel that conceals the LED source and washes light across the surface. The step light and the sconce are offered as a coordinating pair for entries, pathways and stairs.

Why You’ll Love It

Both versions use an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to replace, and both are wet rated and take 120 to 277 volts. The step light gives 20 lumens and the sconce 30 lumens, which suits low-level marking and accent light. Both are listed as dimmable with Triac or ELV at 120V.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. Wipe the finish with a soft damp cloth and skip abrasive or solvent cleaners.

What is the difference between the step light and the sconce?

The step light is 5 inches wide and 3.25 inches high, projects 0.75 inch and is not listed as ADA compliant. The sconce is 6 inches wide and 8 inches high, projects 1.5 inches and ET2 lists it as ADA compliant. ET2 lists the step light's color temperature as selectable between 2700K, 3000K and 4000K, and the sconce's as 3000K.

How big is the Brink, and how far does it project?

Heights run from 3.25 to 8 in and widths run from 5 to 6 in, depending on the version. Projection from the wall is 0.75 in (Step light 5 x 3.25 in), 1.5 in (Sconce 6 x 8 in). The Choose Your Version table above lists each size.

How much light does the Brink give?

Delivered output in lumens is 20 (Step light 5 x 3.25 in), 30 (Sconce 6 x 8 in), with a color temperature that is selectable among 2700K, 3000K and 4000K (Step light 5 x 3.25 in) or 3000K (Sconce 6 x 8 in) and CRI 90.

Which way can the Brink be mounted?

ET2 lists the mounting orientation as facing down. The light direction is listed as downlight. Confirm the orientation you want against the product details before you rough in the box.

Will my dimmer work with it?

Can the LED in the Brink be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.
