Esfera Medium sets a ring of laser-etched crystal prisms into fine metal, a halo of light that you can hang facing up or down.
The Design Story
Kelly Wearstler designed Esfera around the meeting of elemental materials: cylindrical crystal prisms, etched by laser, held by a clean metal ring.
The etching catches the light from the integrated LEDs and softens it, and the frame can be installed either way up, so the same piece can feel airy or grounded.
Why You'll Love It
It is glamorous and architectural at the same time. The crystal glows rather than glitters, the light is a warm 2700K at 90 CRI, and Nightshade Black or Natural Brass decide whether it reads graphic or golden.
Made for Real Life
There are no bulbs to change: the LED is built in. Polish the glass now and then with a soft microfiber cloth. The brass is a living finish that deepens with age. Dust the frame with a dry cloth. It mounts on rigid stems, so you can set the drop precisely. Pair it with an LED-compatible ELV, TRIAC or 0-10V dimmer to go from bright to candle-soft.

Which Esfera Medium finish works with my palette?
Our take: black gives a crisp, graphic outline; brass brings warmth to wood and earthy tones.
Can the Esfera Medium be the only light in the room?
In most rooms, yes. It gives 6,128 lumens at 90 CRI, and with a compatible dimmer you can take it from bright to atmospheric.
Is the Esfera Medium the right size for my space?
At 32″ across, it looks balanced over tables at least 38″ wide, or round tables of 43–64″. See the sizing chart above for ceiling heights.
Will the Esfera Medium work outside under a roof?
Yes. Visual Comfort rates it for damp interiors and outdoor spaces under cover, so a loggia or covered patio is fine; keep it out of direct rain.
Will I ever change a bulb in the Esfera Medium?
There are no bulbs. The light comes from built-in LED modules, installed at the factory.
How is the Esfera Medium hung?
It is rod (stem) mounted; in the box: (4) 12" and (2) 6" rigid stems in coordinating finish. A licensed electrician should install it.
How soon can the Esfera Medium arrive?
