Same Tao glass, different posture: a plated steel stem kit and a swivel canopy hold the shade straight and still, even on a vaulted ceiling. Choose satin nickel, bronze or black, and a built-in dimmable LED or your own bulb.
The Design Story
The stem Tao keeps everything that makes Tao special, the softly radiused shape and the brushed-texture glass, and swaps the cord for clean architectural hardware. Assemble the stem sections to the height you want; the swivel at the canopy lets it hang plumb from a slope. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.

What comes in the Tao stem kit?
A telescoping piece with up to 3 inches of adjustment and four stems of 3, 6, 12 and 18 inches, for a 39-inch standard drop; you can add sections up to 10 feet.
Will the stem Tao hang straight from a vaulted ceiling?
Yes. The canopy swivels, so the stem hangs plumb.
Stem or cord: which looks better in a row?
Stems look crisper and stay perfectly aligned; cords feel softer and are easier to fine-tune.
Is the stem Tao LED dimmable?
Yes. The LED version includes a 9W dimmable, replaceable source; the incandescent version takes a 100W A19 bulb.
Can the stem Tao go in a bathroom?
Yes, it is rated for damp indoor locations.
Which Tao glass pairs with a black stem?
