The Design Story
Paco 19 scales up Besa’s fused-glass idea. Three pieces of glass fused together: a polished opal top, a band of clear or smoke blown glass with a coarse sandstone texture like cut rock, and a flat white glass base sit together as one diffuser, so the light glows through the opal and sparkles at the textured edge. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
