The Design Story
Nimbus is named for the cloud it resembles. Besa blows the opal glass into a gentle toroid shape, then etches the outer layer until it is satin smooth, so the light spreads evenly with no hot spot. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
