The Design Story
Dano layers two simple shapes: an outer cone of European glass and an inner cone of real wood that hides the light. The wood adds a splash of warmth, and through Clear glass it looks almost like a lantern; through Smoke it turns richer and more mysterious. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.

It brings natural texture to kitchens full of stone and lacquer, and it fits Scandinavian, Japandi and modern farmhouse rooms beautifully. The LED is hidden in the wood cone, so you see warm wood and glass, never a bulb.
Made for Real Life
At 9 inches wide it suits most islands two or three at a time. The 3000K LED with CRI 90+ is included and dimmable. It is damp rated for indoor spaces and installs to a regular ceiling box, sloped ceilings included, on a 10-foot cord. How tall is the Dano?
About 13 inches tall and 9 inches wide.
Natural or Medium wood: which Dano suits my kitchen?
Natural is light and Scandinavian, great with white oak; Medium is warmer and pairs with walnut and darker woods.
Do I need to buy a bulb for Dano?
No, a dimmable 9W LED source comes with it.
How high should the Dano hang over an island?
Most kitchens set the bottom of the glass about 30 to 36 inches above the counter (our advice); the 10-foot cord leaves plenty of room to get it right.
Will the Dano work under a vaulted ceiling?
Yes. The flat canopy fits a standard ceiling box and is approved for sloped ceilings.
Is the Dano fine in a steamy room?
It is damp rated for indoor spaces, so a bathroom or laundry room is fine; it is not meant for outdoors.
