The Design Story
Bana is all about the shape: a torus of glass whose bottom curls inward and stays open, so light falls straight down while the rounded rim catches reflections. Besa sees it as retro styling that slips easily into today’s interiors. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.

Will the Bana work under a vaulted ceiling?
Yes. The flat canopy fits a standard ceiling box and is approved for sloped ceilings.
Is the Bana fine in a steamy room?
It is damp rated for indoor spaces, so a bathroom or laundry room is fine; it is not meant for outdoors.
