Gloss Gold Soap Dispenser is gold painted inside clear crystal resin: a pump dispenser for liquid hand soap or lotion, made by hand in São Paulo.
Soap dispenser in Gold / Clear, 7.9 × 7.9 × 20.3 cm / 3⅛ × 3⅛ × 8 in.
The Design Story
Vallvé launched Gloss in 2002 and it became one of the brand's best-loved lines. The trick is in the depth: metallic gold is painted inside a thick block of clear crystal resin, so the gold glows from within instead of sitting on the surface. Vallvé started in a rented São Paulo warehouse in 1962, when Catalan-born Josep Maria Sedó Vallvé began casting resin with metal, wood and acrylic on machines he built himself. His son Pedro Sedó took over in the 1990s, every piece is still made by hand, and Vallvé has won the Top of Mind Casa & Mercado award for bathroom boutiques since 2003.
Why You'll Love It
The gold sits inside the resin, so it never looks applied or flat. Each piece is made and finished by hand, so it has a weight and depth that molded plastic can't match. It is part of a full Vallvé collection, so you can build a matching vanity piece by piece. And it comes from a family company that has been making bathroom pieces in Brazil since 1962.
Made for Real Life
A pump dispenser for liquid hand soap or lotion. A soft damp cloth with a drop of mild soap, then a dry microfiber cloth, keeps the resin bright. Skip scouring pads, bleach, acetone and solvents, and never put it in the dishwasher.

Questions We Hear Most
What's the idea behind Vallvé's Gloss Gold design?
It is built around gold painted inside clear crystal resin. See The Design Story above for more.
Is the Gloss Gold soap dispenser made by hand?
Yes. Vallvé says its production is 100% handmade at its workshop in São Paulo, Brazil, where the company has been working with resin since 1962.
Can I use lotion in the Gloss Gold soap dispenser?
It is made for liquid soap; a thin lotion should pump the same way, but we'd skip thick creams (our advice).
Would the Gloss Gold soap dispenser make a good gift?
Yes, especially for someone finishing a new bathroom. It ships in protective packaging and we are happy to add a gift note.
How do I keep the Gloss Gold soap dispenser looking new?
Give it a gentle wipe with a damp microfiber cloth and dry it off; keep scouring pads, acetone and the dishwasher away from the resin (our advice).
Why We Love It
Most bath accessories are an afterthought. Vallvé treats them as design objects, made by hand in resin with real depth and color, and that is exactly the kind of piece LoftModern exists to find.
