The Design Story
At once raw and highly finished, Meteorite is an expression of accessible beauty. In the tradition of Venetian battuto (beaten) glass, Pio and Tito Toso designed a special glass-blowing and grinding process allowing an “unfinished” textural feeling. The double-layered glass is frosted and mounted on a techno polymer and steel body (or aluminum stem for table with stem and floor versions).
Meet the Designer
Pio & Tito Toso: Italian brothers born in 1973 and 1971 respectively, Pio & Tito Toso love working with light and its endless variations. Their interest in combining both ancient and contemporary techniques of making and finishing glass, combined with cutting-edge energy-performance pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in fixture design.

Is a bulb included with the Meteorite?
No. The bulb versions take E26 bulb, 100W max or E12 bulb, 4W max. A warm 2700K LED bulb gives the most natural glow (our advice).
When will my Meteorite ship?
Standard delivery options ship in 2–4 weeks; Built to order in Canada options ship in about 4–6 weeks; Special order from Italy options ship in 10–16 weeks from Artemide's warehouse (see the part number table at the bottom). We email your confirmed ship date after you order. A gentle note on special orders: they are made in Italy just for you, so they can't be changed or cancelled once ordered.
