The Design Story
An extension to the iconic Tolomeo family, Tolomeo wall spot combines the head of the Tolomeo table lamp with a wall support to allow for a wall spot lighting solution offering flexibility and style.
Meet the Designers
Michele De Lucchi (born 1951 in Ferrara) is an Italian architect and designer and was a member of the Memphis group in the 1980s. With Giancarlo Fassina he designed the Tolomeo in 1987, which won the Compasso d'Oro in 1989 and grew into a whole family, from Micro to Mega.
Giancarlo Fassina is an Italian designer and a longtime Artemide collaborator. His technical precision was key to the Tolomeo, which he co-designed with Michele De Lucchi in 1987.
Famous on Screen
Look closely at M's desk in the James Bond film Skyfall (2012): that is a Tolomeo Basculante table lamp. Few lamps say "serious work happens here" quite like a Tolomeo.
