The Design Story

The bestselling appliance Nur, an iconic product from the Artemide collection, is restyled in a new acoustic version. The bell-shaped body is designed to mark the boundaries through light, as well as with ambient sound control.

Meet the Designer

Ernesto Gismondi (1931–2020), an aeronautical engineer by training, founded Artemide in 1960 with Sergio Mazza and led it for six decades, turning it into one of the world's leading lighting companies. He also designed many Artemide lamps himself, and in 2018 he received a Compasso d'Oro career award.
