The Design Story
El Porís is a modern, light, rigorous chandelier, yet one that is also truly spectacular and sculptural. It is a large elementary, geometric structure that features light bulbs housed in traditional E26 sockets, leaving complete freedom of choice as to what sources to use. Two or three calendared steel tubes of decreasing diameter are united by four vertical mounts.
Meet the Designer
Herzog & de Meuron: Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron founded their architecture practice in Basel, Switzerland, in 1978. Their buildings include Tate Modern in London and the Beijing National Stadium, and they received the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2001.
Why You'll Love It

- Made by Artemide, the Milan lighting house behind some of the most collected lamps of the last fifty years.

No. The bulb versions take E26 bulb, 12×15W max or E26 bulb, 8×15W max. A warm 2700K LED bulb gives the most natural glow (our advice).

A gentle note on special orders: they are made in Italy just for you, so they can't be changed or cancelled once ordered. Message us anytime to confirm your choices first.
How do I dim or switch the El Porís?
Dimmable 2-wire*, according to Artemide.
Where are the exact measurements for the El Porís?
Open the line drawing in the gallery or the spec sheet near the top of this page; Artemide shows every measurement there.
Is the El Porís made for outdoor or bathroom use?
It is meant for dry indoor rooms only (IP20), so keep it away from showers and porches.
Is the El Porís covered by a warranty?
Yes: Artemide gives a 5-year limited warranty after you register your purchase with them, and we are here to help if anything goes wrong.
