Alexis is a slim stick lamp that adjusts to you.
US-patented removable battery32+ hrs per chargedimmableUL-listed charger
Charge the battery, place the lamp, and enjoy warm light for 32+ hours, on a floating console, a dining table or a nightstand nowhere near a socket.
The Design Story
Alexis is pared back to a single elegant stem that telescopes from 29 to 34 inches, with the battery hidden in its slim base and a choice of finishes and shades. Modern Lantern was founded in 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas, by designers Stephen and Carrie Fitzwater, who set out to put light exactly where it is needed.
Why You’ll Love It
There is no cord to hide and no outlet to hunt for, so you can finally style the room the way you want. The battery slides out of the base for charging, so the lamp never leaves its spot. Add a spare pack and the light never has to go out. The black finish is applied over solid metal for a lamp with real weight and presence.
Our Designer’s Pick
The dome shade throws light down for reading; linen, empire or rattan glow all around.
Made for Real Life
A quick charge every week or two of normal use keeps it glowing. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and if the battery ever tires after years of use, replace the pack, not the lamp.
Never be without light: keep a spare click-in battery charged and ready.
The Technology Inside
Most cordless lamps hide a sealed battery: when it runs down, the whole lamp has to go to an outlet, and when it wears out, the lamp is finished. Modern Lantern patented a different idea.
| Recharging | The battery clicks out of the base and charges on its own; the lamp never moves. |
|---|---|
| Downtime | Add a spare pack and the light never goes out. |
| Longevity | Battery, bulb and charger are replaceable, so the lamp lasts for years. |
| Protection | US Patent 9,347,633; UL-listed charger. |
