TR41 Pendant by Tom Rossau — a slatted white column, pinched off-center into an asymmetric hourglass.
The textured nonwoven glows softly, and the birch crown adds a natural Nordic touch.
The Design Story
Designed in 2021, the TR41 combines ideas from the slim TR7 and the graphic TR37. Its off-center pinch gives each half a different character. The Danish Design Awards 2021 nominated it for Lamp of the Year. The studio began with an experiment: Tom Rossau pressed thin strips of wood into a cylinder to see how they would bend, and the harder he pressed, the more expressive the shape became. That experiment became the TR5 in 2005, and every lamp since has followed the same idea of flat material coaxed into sculpture, built by hand in Copenhagen.
