The Design Story
The TR37 series, introduced in 2019, gave Tom Rossau’s collection a more graphic, modern look: a soft white lamella shade held inside a black geometric steel frame, a deliberate contrast to his organic birch lamps. The studio began with an experiment: Tom Rossau pressed thin strips of wood into a cylinder to see how they would bend, and the harder he pressed, the more expressive the shape became. That experiment became the TR5 in 2005, and every lamp since has followed the same idea of flat material coaxed into sculpture, built by hand in Copenhagen.
