The Design Story

Toyo Ito, winner of the 2013 Pritzker Prize, designed the Mayuhana series for Yamagiwa around the cocoon: a woven, spun-thread form that keeps the light inside and releases it gently. The Mie is the triple-shell version, the richest in depth of the pendants.
