Boyhood x Disney Mickey Mouse Oak Collectible

Boyhood x Disney Mickey Mouse Oak Collectible — It carries nearly a century of nostalgia without looking like merchandise.

2 sizes. Made by Boyhood, Denmark, in solid wood.

The Design Story

Mickey has been everything from a steamboat captain to a bandleader, and Boyhood’s version reduces all of that to a few confident shapes in wood. Light oak and smoke-stained oak do the work that black, red and yellow do on screen. Boyhood is a Danish design brand founded by designer Jakob Burgsø. The studio makes collectible wooden icons from solid FSC-certified wood, including officially licensed characters from some of the world’s best-known brands.

Why You’ll Love It

It carries nearly a century of nostalgia without looking like merchandise. The two wood tones give it graphic contrast on a shelf, the grain makes every piece slightly different, and the Small and Large sizes work as a pair or on their own. Because it is solid wood, no two pieces share exactly the same grain.

Made for Real Life

Dust with a dry, soft cloth, and use just water on a damp cloth for marks, then dry it. Strong sun can shift the color of oak over time, and Boyhood recommends keeping solid wood away from stoves and radiators.

Questions We Hear Most

Where will the Boyhood Mickey Mouse look best?

On a bookshelf, a desk, a sideboard or a high shelf out of a toddler’s reach; anywhere it can be seen and not handled roughly.

Which Boyhood Mickey Mouse size should I pick?

Go small for a desk or a crowded shelf and large for a sideboard or a statement spot. Sizes: Small H 6.0″ × W 4.1″ × L 2.6″; Large H 9.6″ × W 6.5″ × L 4.2″.

Would the Boyhood Mickey Mouse make a good gift?

For teens from 15, adults and collectors, yes: it is a lasting piece of design with a story. It isn’t meant for young children, as Boyhood notes it is not a toy.

Will the wood of the Boyhood Mickey Mouse change over time?

Direct sunlight can change the color of the wood over time, and natural grain means every piece looks a little different. Keep it away from strong heat so the wood doesn’t dry out.

Is this an official Disney piece?

Yes, it is an officially licensed Disney collectible made by the Danish brand Boyhood.

When will my Boyhood Mickey Mouse arrive?

It leaves our warehouse within 2–3 business days of your order.

Why We Love It

Boyhood turns the shapes we grew up with into objects worth keeping: solid, certified wood, careful finishing and a little humor. It is decor with a memory attached.
