Tea Cups & Saucers, Set of 6 in Starlight is Missoni at the table: the house's signature graphics, rendered in fine bone china.
A set of 6, Cup Ø 3.3 x H 2.4 in (8.5 x 6 cm); saucer Ø 6.1 in (15.5 cm), holding 7.4 fl oz (22 cl), presented in a Missoni gift box.
The Design Story
Starlight is one of Missoni's graphic porcelain patterns, built from the house's multicoloured motifs. Missoni began in 1953 as Ottavio and Rosita Missoni's knitwear workshop, and its patterns have moved from fashion to the home ever since.
Why You'll Love It
The pattern does the decorating, so even a simple meal looks considered. Bone china is lighter and whiter than ordinary porcelain, which makes the colours read crisply. It mixes easily with plain whites or with other Missoni patterns. The branded box makes it an easy, impressive gift. And it is designed in Italy by a house with seventy years of pattern behind it.
Made for Real Life
Made for tea or a cappuccino-size pour. It is listed as dishwasher safe, so it can be used every day.
Worth Every Penny
Used twice a week for ten years, $1,260 comes to about $1.21 per use (our math).

Starlight is one of Missoni's graphic porcelain patterns, built from the house's multicoloured motifs.
How do I look after the Starlight tea cups set?
The distributor lists it as dishwasher safe. Use a gentle cycle, skip abrasive pads, and avoid sudden temperature changes (our advice). Bone china is light but it is still porcelain: stack with care.
Does the Starlight tea cups set arrive gift-ready?
Yes. It comes in a Missoni gift box, so it is ready to give.
What should I pair the Starlight tea cups set with?
Other pieces from Missoni's Starlight line, or plain white tableware if you want the pattern to stand out.
How big is the Starlight tea cups set, exactly?
Cup Ø 3.3 x H 2.4 in (8.5 x 6 cm); saucer Ø 6.1 in (15.5 cm); holds 7.4 fl oz (22 cl).
Is the Starlight tea cups set really bone china?
Yes. Missoni lists its porcelain tableware as 50% bone ash and 50% porcelain, which is what makes bone china lighter and whiter than standard porcelain.
Why We Love It
Missoni turned a knit stitch into one of design's most recognisable signatures. Bringing it to the table is the simplest way to live with it every day.
