Mug in Zig Zag Gold is Missoni at the table: the house's signature graphics, rendered in fine bone china.
One piece, Ø 3 x H 3.9 in (7.6 x 9.9 cm), holding 12.5 fl oz (370 ml), presented in a Missoni gift box.
The Design Story
Zig Zag Gold takes the chevron that made Missoni a 1960s icon and renders it in gold and black on bone china: the most formal face of the motif. Missoni began in 1953 as Ottavio and Rosita Missoni's knitwear workshop, and its patterns have moved from fashion to the home ever since.
Why You'll Love It
The pattern does the decorating, so even a simple meal looks considered. Bone china is lighter and whiter than ordinary porcelain, which makes the colours read crisply. It mixes easily with plain whites or with other Missoni patterns. The branded box makes it an easy, impressive gift. And it is designed in Italy by a house with seventy years of pattern behind it.
Made for Real Life
Made for everyday coffee, tea or hot chocolate. It is dishwasher safe; we still recommend hand washing to protect the gold, skip abrasive pads, and avoid sudden temperature changes (our advice). Bone china is light but it is still porcelain: stack with care.
