Antonio Vitali Wooden Goose Figure, IC Design

Antonio Vitali Wooden Goose Figure, IC Design — Vitali shaped his animals to be held: smooth, rounded and true to nature without fuss.

An authorized IC Design edition of a 1960 design.

The Design Story

Vitali spent years watching children play, and his animals show it: soft, rounded forms meant for small hands. He ran workshops in Zurich, in Sornico in the Ticino valleys and in New York, and worked with toy makers from Creative Playthings to NikiTiki. According to IC Design, Vitali designed the goose in 1960.

Why You’ll Love It

Vitali shaped his animals to be held: smooth, rounded and true to nature without fuss. The goose is as satisfying in the hand as it is on a shelf, and the maple grain makes each piece a little different.

Made for Real Life

Treat the wood kindly: a dry cloth for dust, no soaking, and a shelf away from harsh sun keeps the grain rich (our tip; no care notes are published). Pair it with Antonio Vitali Maple Duck Pair, Antonio Vitali Wooden Snail Figure, Antonio Vitali Wooden Fox Figure.
