About the Maker
Design by Shin In-Young. Head blacksmith of Master Shin's Anvil, he owns South Korea’s oldest blacksmith shop (est. 1845), began apprenticing at 13, became a master at 17, and is celebrated for traditional minimalistic design that’s both functional and enduring.
Care Instructions
This knife is made of carbon steel and when properly cared for, can last for decades. Sharpen by hand on a whetstone every two to three years depending on use; avoid hard surfaces; hand-wash (no dishwasher/soaking), dry completely, and lightly oil the blade. If rust forms, use a baking-soda paste and soft cloth/toothbrush; avoid foil or steel wool; wash with dish soap and dry well.
