Artemide Tolomeo Classic LED Desk Lamp with Motion Sensor & Clamp combines the iconic articulated Tolomeo design with integrated LED lighting, convenient dimming and occupancy-responsive control. Designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, this clamp-mounted version delivers focused task lighting while preserving valuable desk and work-surface space.

The integrated 10W LED produces 593 delivered lumens of warm 3000K light with a CRI above 90. Brightness can be adjusted directly at the lamp head, while the integrated motion sensor helps manage the light automatically when the workspace is left unattended.

Extruded-aluminum arms, polished die-cast aluminum joints and stainless-steel tension cables create the precisely balanced movement associated with the Tolomeo family. Instead of a conventional weighted base, TOL0009 uses a compact die-cast aluminum clamp that attaches directly to a compatible work surface.

Motion-Sensing Light for the Workspace

The motion sensor makes this Tolomeo particularly useful for offices, studios and workstations where users regularly move away from their desks. Artemide technical documentation describes a detection radius of approximately 2.5 meters (98.5 inches). If no further movement is detected for approximately 12 minutes, the light automatically switches off.

This occupancy-responsive operation complements the manual dimming control at the lamp head. The result is a task lamp that provides direct control while you are working and helps reduce unnecessary operation when the workspace is left unattended.

Clamp Mounting Saves Desk Space

Unlike the Tolomeo Classic LED with weighted table base, TOL0009 uses a die-cast aluminum clamp to secure the lamp directly to a compatible desk or work surface. This leaves more usable space for monitors, notebooks, drawings and other equipment while retaining the full articulated movement of the Classic Tolomeo arm structure.

The lamp's aluminum arms are connected by polished die-cast aluminum joints and tension-control components with stainless-steel tension cables. The diffuser can be tilted and rotated to direct illumination precisely toward the working area.
