Bird is a small porcelain lamp with a big personality: a hand-glazed ivory shell that leans forward as if keeping watch, glowing warm at the tap of a finger.
Designed in Taiwan by Daqiconcept, it turns a nightstand or desk corner into a quiet moment of craft.
The Design Story
In Chinese, daqi means "precious, good things take time." Daqiconcept's designers built Bird around the sense of touch: the way we reach for leaves and bark on a walk to feel calm. The curved matte porcelain invites your hand, and the 23.5-degree forward lean recalls a bird caring for its young.
Why You'll Love It
The handmade porcelain has a soft matte texture that feels as good as it looks. The light is a warm 2700K, the color of candlelight at dusk. You control it by touch: tap the base for three set levels, or hold to fade to exactly the brightness you want. It runs on USB, so it lives happily beside a laptop as well as a bed.
Made for Real Life
At 7.5 inches tall on a 4.1-inch base, Bird fits the narrowest nightstand, a bookshelf gap or a studio desk. Think of it as mood light and companion rather than a work lamp.

Bedside in a calm neutral bedroom, on a reading nook side table, or grouped with its sibling colors (Burnt Brick, Almond Beige, Aqua Blue) along a shelf.
Questions We Hear Most
Why does the Bird lamp lean forward?
The head tilts about 23.5 degrees, like a bird watching over its young. Daqiconcept shaped it that way so the light feels protective and companionable rather than purely functional.
Can the Ivory White Bird work as a bedside light?
Yes. Its warm 2700K glow and touch dimming make it a calm bedside companion, and at 7.5 inches tall it sits comfortably beside a book, a glass of water and your phone.
Which Bird colors look good together?
Bird is currently available in Ivory White, Burnt Brick, Almond Beige and Aqua Blue. A pair in Ivory White and Almond Beige reads soft and neutral; Ivory White with Burnt Brick or Aqua Blue adds a quiet pop of color.
Is the porcelain on the Bird lamp really handmade?
Yes. Daqiconcept finishes each shell in handmade matte porcelain, chosen for the way it feels under your fingertips as much as the way it looks.
How warm is the light from the Ivory White Bird?
The LED glows at 2700K, the warm white of a classic incandescent bulb. Behind the pale porcelain the light takes on a soft golden tone.
Can I power the Bird from my laptop?
Yes. Bird takes 5V 1A over USB, so it runs from a laptop or monitor USB port as easily as from a wall adapter.
Why We Love It
Bird proves a lamp can be small, gentle and genuinely crafted. It is the kind of piece people pick up and ask about.
