Artemide Tolomeo Classic Tunable White LED Floor Lamp by Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina combines the iconic adjustable structure of the Tolomeo collection with Tunable White LED technology. Designed for reading, working and adaptable task lighting, it allows the character of the white light to be adjusted while Tolomeo's articulated arms and directional diffuser provide precise control over where the light is directed.
The integrated 12W LED delivers 420 lumens with CRI above 80. Artemide's Tunable White technology is designed to provide variations in white light from warm to much cooler illumination, allowing the lighting environment to adapt to different activities and preferences. Brightness control is conveniently located on the lamp head.
The lamp retains the functional engineering that defines the Tolomeo family: aluminum arms and diffuser, polished die-cast aluminum joints and tension-control knobs, stainless-steel tension cables and a weighted steel floor support. The result is a highly adjustable LED floor lamp suited to reading areas, home offices, studios and professional workspaces.
Why Choose the Tolomeo Classic Tunable White Floor Lamp?
- Tunable White technology: Adjust the character of the white light to suit different activities, times of day and personal preferences.
- Integrated LED: A built-in 12W LED delivers 420 lumens without requiring a replaceable bulb.
- Dimmable on the lamp head: Convenient controls keep lighting adjustments within easy reach.
- Fully adjustable structure: Articulated arms allow the height, reach and position of the light to be changed for reading or task lighting.
- Directional diffuser: Tilt and rotate the aluminum shade to direct illumination toward a book, desk or work surface.
- Precision metal construction: Aluminum, polished die-cast aluminum, stainless-steel tension cables and a weighted steel base create Tolomeo's distinctive technical appearance.
What Is Tunable White Lighting?
Unlike a conventional LED floor lamp with one fixed color temperature, Tunable White lighting allows the appearance of white light to be adjusted. Artemide's technical literature for the Tolomeo TW system describes a range from approximately 2500K warm light through much cooler white light up to 10,000K.
This flexibility makes the Tolomeo Classic TW especially useful in spaces that serve more than one purpose. Warmer white light can create a softer atmosphere for relaxed reading, while cooler white settings can provide a crisper visual environment for focused work and task-oriented activities.
